This is bad, guys. TPP is just a simple pathway to a 1984 style situation. While the cyberpunk setting is cool and all, it’s not something we wanna see happen in real life.
It is not true that TPP makes copyright last for 70 years after the creator’s death. This has been the international standard for decades. In the US it is now 95 years after death due to the Bono Act in 1998.
Transferring your DVD’s to your computer is already technically a violation – and the possible penalty in the United States is $30 thousand, not 10!
The rest appears to be outright falsehood.
There are plenty of REAL things wrong with the TPP that one shouldn’t promote false propaganda about it.
Thank you. I do know that there are other wrong things about TPP. The problem is that people tend to blow it out of proportions, whether it’d be about the secrecy or the health plan or anything else. Sometimes I easily succumb to these sorts of doomsayings. I think this is why I do this, informing people about TPP, so that I can be reassured that it won’t be as bad as people hype it to be.

That said, I’m not sure if that applies to the revised deal.
