So, decided to play some more AI Dungeon 2 now that it’s been fixed and I decided to play the mystery theme as a patient. What I got is some of the most unnerving stuff that I ever played in a game…
You are Dan, a patient living in Chicago. You have a hospital bracelet and a pack of bandages. You wake up in an old rundown hospital with no memory of how you got there. You take a look around the room and see a bunch of stuff lying on the floor. A nurse comes to check on you.
“Are you okay?” She asks.
“Yeah, I’m fine”. You reply.
She takes your hand and leads you over to a chair
You say “What’s going on? How did I get here?”
“I don’t know, but I’ll tell you when we get back to the hotel”. She says.
You sit down and wait for the elevator. The elevator doors open and you enter it. You hear some noise outside so you go out into the hallway
> You try to find where the noise is coming from.
You walk around looking for any signs of trouble or people. Nothing seems amiss, so you decide to stay put.
The elevator door opens and closes several times before finally opening again. You exit the elevator and head towards the lobby
> You look at the nurse.
You see a young woman with short brown hair wearing a white lab coat. She looks up as you approach.
“Hello, what can I do for you?” she asks.
“My name is Dan”. You reply.
You say “You wanted to tell me something once we got to the hotel?”
She smiles and nods. “Yes, that would be best”.
You say “Well, we’re here… So what did you want to tell me?
She pauses and thinks about her answer. “Well, I’m sorry, but I really can’t tell you anything right now. We’ve been called in by security to check if there’s anyone breaking into your room”.
You say “Well was there anyone breaking into my room?
Oh, no, not at all. It was just a prank call. They were playing a joke on us”.
“No, they weren’t. They said they had found your bracelet and needed to take you to the hospital
You say “That’s a releif… Well, best for me to head back to my room. Good night, Miss.”
“Good night, Mr..”.
You say “Why is it so hard for you to understand my name?”
“Because I’m new here and I’m still learning! Anyway, good luck getting home, okay?”
You leave the nurse and head back to your room. You lay down and fall asleep
> You wake up 12 hours later.
You wake up feeling very tired. You feel like you should be sleeping, but you aren’t. You sit up and look around your room. There isn’t much left, everything has been taken. Your laptop, your clothes, even your wallet. You begin to panic
> You call the cops.
You quickly call the police and explain what has happened. A dispatcher tells you to hang up because he doesn’t need to know more than that. He hangs up and calls back.
“Hey, what’s your name?”
You say “My room has been robbed! I know you were called earlier about that regard, but this time it actually happened!”
“Yeah, well I told them to let you go. They didn’t listen though, so I’m calling the police again”.
You say “Do so. Tell them that my place is robbed.”
“Okay, I will, thanks for telling me all this..”.
“Don’t worry about it, I’m fine. Thanks anyway!”
“Thanks, I appreciate it. Have a nice day”.
> You wait for the police to come.
You wait patiently for the police to arrive. Eventually a police car pulls up outside your door. The officer gets out and walks over to you.
You say “Sir, it happened for real. Someone stole all my stuff while I was asleep.”
“Oh, I’m sorry sir, but I’m afraid I don’t think you’re in any position to complain. I’m sure you must be angry, but I’m afraid I can’t help you with that”.
You say “Oh, no. I’m not angry. I’m just stating what happened. I’m more afraid than anything.”
“Then why are you upset sir?”
You say “Because someone stole everything. I mean, wouldn’t YOU be upset if you woke up to find everything you loved gone?”
You say “Um… Checkmate?”
The policeman frowns and then sighs. “I suppose it could be worse sir. I could ask you how you’d like to spend your last moments on earth”.
You nod slowly. “I’d prefer to die peacefully”.
You say “Though, that is very random to ask. Especially in this situation…”
The policeman shrugs his shoulders. “It’s the way things are these days. I guess I’ll be off then. Goodbye sir, goodbye”.
You stand up and salute him as he leaves. You turn to face your bed and close your eyes. You drift off
> You wake up 12 hours later.
You awaken to the sound of a loud alarm clock. You groggily sit up and realize that you forgot to eat breakfast. You grab a bagel and coffee from the fridge and head downstairs.
When you get to the kitchen, you notice that the lights are on
You say “Who’s there?”
A man dressed in a business suit answers. “I’m sorry, but I’m afraid I’m afraid I can’t tell you anything else, but I’m afraid I might have to”In fact”I say”An
